Rich Dansereau wrote a comment on last week's "Bald Guy's Heisman Race" and asked about Tim Tebow. Personally I hope he will win the Trophy a second time, but I didn't put him on the list, yet, because I'm announcing my candidates based on real outstanding performances. I'm trying to avoid the Heisman hype.
So who are my Top-5 candidates for week three?
5. WR/SB Dante Love -Ball St.-
The Akron Zips put an extra eye or two on Dante Love and limited him to just 7 catches for 97 yards. He still is the leading receiver in the FBS, but he will need a strong game next week to stay on top!
4. RB Donald Brown -UConn-
Two consecutive 200-yards-rushing games and 8 rushing touchdowns - Donald Brown is on pace to gain 2000 yards rushing this season. He is a great running back, very elusive with a great burst. Check out his highlights on Youtube!
3. QB Graham Harrell -Texas Tech-
Graham Harrell delivered again - 418 passing yards and 5 touchdowns against SMU. He is averaging over 400 yards passing per game and he still has the chance to break Colt Brennan's career touchdown record.
2. QB Max Hall -BYU-
His record-breaking 7-passing-touchdown performance won't be forgotten in a while. Before the game I thought UCLA got a solid chance to upset BYU, but Max Hall was just unstoppable. The Cougars are my team number one to finish the season undefeated. And Max Hall is the reason why.
1. QB Chase Daniels -Mizzou-
Another great game for Chase Daniels, he completed 23 of 28 passes and threw 4 touchdown against Nevada. Right now he is the Top Heisman Candidate on every list. Tebow, Sanchez and Moreno are behind him, but they won't close the gap if Daniels keeps on playing like this week.
Dropped out:
QB Juice Williams -Illimois-
Bald Guy's Heisman Race will be back in week four!
