My vacations should be one half recreation and one half excitement. Moreover I'm a sports lunatic - so what's more exciting than a big sport event. So if I'm looking for a nice place for vacation, I'm always eager to see a unique or special sport event.
So what's a nice destination?
How about France? The country of Haute Couture, wineries and museums. There are so many places to visit. Check out FranceThisWay for more information and helpful suggestions. And on your travel through the regions of France you can follow the 'Tour de France'- the biggest and most famous bicycle race of the world. If you want to enjoy the whole 'Tour', you have to plan a trip through France that will take three weeks. Interested? Then take a look at www.CheaperThanHotels.co.uk/, under " France hotels " you will find all kinds of special offers for hotel rooms.
In the end the 'Tour de France" always concludes in Paris - the city of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and lots of other attractions. Check out a short Paris travel guide here. You can find a good list of Paris hotels at www.CheaperThanHotels.co.uk, too.
But why not staying at home - in Germany?
Yes, my mother country is famous for attractions like Beer Festivals, The Romantic Road and Neuschwanstein Castle. Look here for more informations.
But if you're going to visit Germany as a sport-fan, you have to attend a Formula One Grand Prix race at the Hockenheimring and at the Nuerburgring. Yes, there are two races in Germany and you shouldn't miss one of them. If you not sure where to stay, check the site above for " Germany hotels ".
Not really a racing fan? Then visit our capital Berlin and see the attractions of this great city like Pergamon Museum, Brandenburge Gates and Schloss Charlottenburg (see here), and make sure you're there during next years Pro-Football-Season, cause one of the games will take place in Berlin! To make sure that this holiday doesn't get too expensive, save money with booking a special offer hotel room at www.CheaperThanHotels.co.uk (search for Berlin hotels ).
So where are you going for vacation in 2008?
