Will the unbeaten stay unbeaten?

Two of my favorite football teams are unbeaten. In the NCAA Division IA the Hawaii Warriors are 9-0 and at the pros the Patriots went into the bye-week with a record of 9-0. Can they remain unbeaten? The Hawaii Warriors scenario Hawaii had a soft schedule thus far. They didn't face a Top 25 team this season. Their opponents are combined 27-64, with Fresno State being the only team with a winning record. In the next 3 games they will play against tough run-oriented Nevada, No. 17 Boise State and the Washington Huskies. Stumbling block The opponents are tough, but the big question mark is the health of Colt Brennan. The Warriors won this year without him, but against Nevada and Boise State they will need their record-setting QB. How to keep a zero in the L-coluum The explosive passing attack has to be sharp. Go ahead early and avoid mistakes. Interceptions were a topic this season. Colt Brennan can't turnover the ball against good teams like Boise State. The biggest problem for passing teams is to stay on the field. Hawaii needs to run the ball and to complete a lot of passes. Nostradamus said once: If the Warriors survive Nevada, they will beat Boise State, too! The New England Patriots scenario Six more wins to join the Miami Dolphins of 72. In the NFL every week one team can beat the other. There is no soft or tough schedule at the pros. As a team you have to play mistake-free and strong every sunday. The Patriots already played some good teams - including 3 teams with a winning record in 4 weeks. Stumbling block Three opponents are most likely to end the winning streak: Pittsburgh in week 14 - the Steelers are the second best team in the AFC and they ended a Patriots-perfect-season before. Jets in week 15 - Mangini is the sorcerer's apprentice and he will come up with something to threaten the Patriots. Giants in week 17 - the Giants play good football and in week 17 the Patriots will probable rest their starters. Can the backups beat the Giants? How to keep a zero in the L-coluum Bill Belichick , Tom Brady, Mike Vrabel and Randy Moss just have to keep going! Nostradamus said once: If you don't run up the score anymore, everything will be fine!
