Texans beat Baltimore 30-3. Sounds like normal football news, but wait a minute...
It's not the Texans, it's the Texas Rangers over the Baltimore Orioles. Yeah, a Major League Baseball game!
The Orioles were ahead 3-0 until the 4th inning, then the Rangers took over. 5 runs in the 4th, 9 runs in the 6th, 10 runs in the 8th inning and 6 more runs in the final inning. The Rangers surpassed the mark of 29 runs that were scored by the Red Sox and White Sox in the 1950s. So they set a new record in the American League and the MLB. The most runs (36) in a baseball game were scored when the Chicago Colts beat Louisville Colonels on June 29, 1897.
There's only one question remaining: Did the Ranger's manager clear the bench and put some substitute players in, when they were ahead by a comfortable margin or did he run up the score?
