Week six is in the books and we have 15 undefeated teams in the FBS (formerly known as Division IA. Mathematically only 10 teams can finish 1X-0, but the chances are slim. Only a handful teams will survive.
Which squads? Let's see:
1. Missouri
2. Oklahoma State
3. Oklahoma
4. Texas
5. Texas Tech
Mathematically not more than two (only Missouri and Oklahoma) of those teams can end the season without a loss. I favor Texas or Missouri to win it all, but I won't be surprised if all teams suffer at least one defeat during the rest of the season.
6. Penn State
I think Penn State is playing its best football in years and if I had to bet on one team to go undefeated it would be the Nittany Lions. They have to play Ohio State, Wisconsin and Michigan State in the next weeks, but I think Penn State will survive these threats.
7. Northwestern
Northwestern hasn't played ranked teams, yet. They will face the tough opponents in the 2nd half of the season starting with Michigan State. No, I don't think Northwestern will win against Michigan State and Purdue and Ohio State and Illinois and...
8. Tulsa
Tulsa dominated their opponents this season averaging over 56 points per game. But I think Tulsa will stumble against UTEP or Houston or even against SMU!
9. Utah
10. BYU
If both teams beat TCU and stay undefeated, we will see a great season finale when BYU faces Utah. Right now I believe BYU will have the edge in this game.
11. Ball State
Dante Love went down but Ball State kept on winning. If they can win against a tough playing Western Michigan, they will likely go undefeated.
12. Vanderbilt
I really like the Commodores this season, but they have to play a tough SEC schedule. Georgia, Florida and Kentucky won't hand out a "W" without a fight. I think there is only one SEC team with a good chance to remain undefeated and unfortunately it's not Vanderbilt.
13. Alabama
14. LSU
Yes, it's Alabama! This is the best team in the SEC right now and I believe they can end the season with a perfect record. No, LSU won't spoil it for Alabama. The Crimson Tide will likely win the SEC and will play in the National Championship Game.
15. Boise State
Boise State is playing well this year. With Hawaii rebuilding there are only Nevada and Fresno State left to stop Boise State from reaching perfection. But I think the Broncos will celebrate on the blue turf in the end!
I pick Penn State, Alabama, Boise State and Missouri to remain unbeaten. What's your pick?

Kansas. Look at who they have to play for the remainder of the season. tough, TOUGH schedule, one of the hardest in the country. If they can win out, or maybe even lose only one more as long as it isn't towards the end of the season they will definitely get a shot.

Penn State, Tulsa, Ball State, BYU, Boise State, and no Big XII team. I think Missouri loses to Texas but then beats Oklahoma in the Big XII championship.
I also think Alabama will lose either to LSU, Auburn or in the SEC championship game.

Frankly, I see Texas and Alabama in the NC game this year. Alabama got a scare from Kentucky, but Kentucky is solid this year and Alabama managed to turn in one of the worst performances of the season. Yet they still managed to win.
As for Texas, what can one say? That's one scary team this year. Look to for Texas to win the Big 12, Alabama to win the SEC and the two to meet to duke it out for the NC.
It's only right that the two best teams from the two best conferences this year should fight for that trophy, huh?
