As we all know John Heisman was the son of german immigrants. So what's really needed for realistic Heisman Watch is the opinion of a german football-natic. I'll fullfil my duty, here are my Top-5-Heisman-Trophy-Runners: 5. Michael Crabtree - WR - Texas Tech The amazing receiver from Texas Tech. He leads the Div-IA in receiving yards and receiving TDs and in scoring. He's a freshman. Watch him scoring one of his 17 touchdowns so far. Personal note: There's no proven connection between him and the school busdriver from South Park. 4. Darren McFadden - RB - Arkansas It's Darren McFadden..what else to say? He's the motor of the Razorbacks offense. Impressive running style and well-known for his special role in the so-called "Wildcat" formation. He rushed for almost 1000 yards so far and already has one touchdown pass. Some fans already root for him-watch this! 3. Graham Harrell - QB - Texas Tech The second Texas Tech player in my Top 5 and I don't even like the Red Raiders. But you can't ignore their offense. It's based on the passing game and Harrell is the perfect quarterback for that kind of football. His stats are unbelievable: over 3500 passing yards and 32 touchdowns in just 9 games. This kid is great. 2. Colt Brennan - QB - Hawaii Another quarterback in my Top-5 and this time I like his team. The Warriors and their Run-N'-Shoot-Offense produce a lot of passing yards. But why is Colt Brennan ahead of Graham Harrell? Because Hawaii also wins a lot of games and is still unbeaten. Colt Brennan is a great passer and a great leader! 1. Tim Tebow - TB - Florida No, Tim Tebow is not a quarterback! I refuse to call him a quarterback! He is a singlewing tailback! He runs like a running back ... not like a feet-first-sliding, hit-avoiding pocket-passer. And he can pass ... best QB rating in the Div-IA. This guy is outstanding! Watch Tim Tebow at work! I know the actual Heisman Watch list, so why do I ignore those other famous players? Let's make this quick: -Mike Hart - I hate Michigan for whining after the Appalachian State loss! -Andre Woodson - C'mon no one likes Kentucky! (Some people like their fight-song) -Matt Ryan - He's not great, just average. If you're playing at Boston College, you better be Doug Flutie. -Dennis Dixon - Got no reason to dislike him, yet! But no reason to like him either! So Heisman Trophy voters listen to the guy, who is born in the same country like John Heisman's father!
